Work has been alright -- move-in days are always the hardest, and the stupidity of "gifted" young kids is not to be underestimated. Many of these kids own laptops they don't know how to use and don't deserve (read: would be put to much better use in my hands). Urgh, waiting 'til August for the Merom (Core 2 Duo for laptops) processors to come out is going to be annoying...
Class is pretty easy. I thought it might be tough to cram a quarter's worth of physics into 13 days, but the current pace is already pretty slow. Definitely not helping my attendance problem.
Cooking is fun! I've been doing a lot more cooking over the summer since there's a bit more time and 'cause the dining hall food annoys me. Hopefully I'll still have time to cook once in a while during the school year.
I require air conditioning! The dorms don't have air conditioning in the rooms, so I've been sweating nonstop as soon as I step out of the shower. My window fan that displays temperature says "Hi", which means it went over double digits and blew it up. When I get in bed, the bed is warm. Disgusting (for the summertime). I tried playing Christmas music earlier to cool me down. Misfire. I miss winter. I hate this heat. I hate Christmas music that stays in a major key. I want some harmonic diversity! I want some rain! Let it rain! Let it pour! Hallelujah! |
